[Illinois] Y Students in Denmark

We are beyond happy to share that UIUC students Emily Manzo and Stuart Seputro are representing the University YMCA at the 20th YMCA World Council in Aarhus, Denmark!

YMCA’s World Council is the highest governing body of the global YMCA Movement, and also its most important shared space. Across continents and across generations, YMCA comes together: it shares, it plans, it learns, it is inspired. It charts the way forwards towards becoming the world’s partner of choice as a youth empowerment organization.

A Unique Experience

“After traveling, Stuart and I finally made it to Aarhus! It was definitely felt like a long travel, but definitely were able to catch a couple of things on our way to Aarhus, like the Tour de France going on this weekend in Denmark!”

“Stuart and I then met up and we went to check out the Aarhus Street Food Market were we tried traditional Danish food, we were so hungry that we didn’t get to take a picture. We then headed to the US Delegation meeting where we got to connect and quickly meet with the other folks from the United States and staff from Y-USA.  I was able to talk to folks from YMCA’s in  Minnesota, Colorado, Kansas City.”

Stay tuned for more updates!
