September 9-18
Each year, Welcoming Week offers our community a chance to lean in and to cultivate a deeper sense of belonging for neighbors and ourselves. When someone eats food we grew up loving, dances to our favorite beat, and learns a little more about our own lived experience, we feel a deeper connection to that person. This year, Welcoming Week focuses on these intimate connections, reflecting on the ways that we as individuals–but also cities, towns, counties, and nations–can break down barriers and cultivate belonging for immigrants and refugees. We invite you to join us to reflect on the people, practices, places and spaces that have fostered belonging in your life and to begin actively doing the same for others.
