It’s the most original jazz event in town. Walk through Meadowbrook Park’s Wandell Sculpture Garden and listen to local jazz music on Friday, September 10, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
The park district is partnering with Clark Lindsey and the Urbana Parks Foundation.
“A collection of soloists and small groups will be scattered along the paths in Meadowbrook Park,” said Janet Soesbe, Community Program Manager. “You can listen to as many as you like and listen at your own pace and you walk in the park,” she added.
Visitors can park at the Race Street entrance of Meadowbrook Park with overflow parking at Stone Creek Church. The rain date for the event is September 11, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
The event is free, but the park district will take donations that will go to the musicians.
“We hope to see many music lovers come out to Meadowbrook Park on September 10, enjoy some great jazz music and enjoy a community building event,” Soesbe said.
