The Chicago House Music Conference and Festival will feature an industry gathering, DJs and live performances showcasing the various sounds and styles of house music, the genre born in Chicago that has gone on to revolutionize dance music internationally.

Chicago House Music Conference

Thursday, May 23, 6–9pm

Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington St.

Catering to DJs, musicians and industry professionals, the Chicago House Music Conference will include panel discussions on topics related to the culture, artistry and business of House music.

7:30–9pm Deconstructed: A Look Underneath the Hood of Modern House Track

6–7pm More than a Woman: Moving Beyond the Boundaries

Moderator: First Lady (Khris Hutchinson), DJ, radio program director, media  personality, educator

Panelists: DJ Val (Valerie Mezydlo), DJ, producer, remixer for Plant Records;

Lady D (Darlene Jackson), DJ, producer, owner of D’lectable Music, professor at Columbia College, member of Super Jane;
