CHAMPAIGN CENTER PARTNERSHIP HOSTS HOMETOWN HOLIDAY SHOP & STROLL EVENT

CHAMPAIGN, IL – Tis the season to shop local! The Champaign Center Partnership invites the public to shop local this holiday season and support local small businesses at the newly-expanded Hometown Holiday Shop & Stroll, December 1 through 20, presented by Christie Clinic.

Over 15 local businesses in Champaign’s Downtown, Midtown and Campustown neighborhoods will feature three weeks of sales, specials, and promotions. Participants can stroll, shop and enjoy the hospitality of our local businesses.

“We are pleased to promote the unique and independent shops and small businesses in Champaign’s historic business districts,”stated Xander Hazel, Executive Director of the Champaign Center Partnership.  “I guarantee that you can find unique gift-able items for all ages, from video games to vintage apparel to home decor. By shopping at a local business this holiday season, you are supporting the local community.”

Shop & Stroll booklets listing all promos and venues will be available in business locations on December 1. Participants that make a purchase at 8 business locations can enter to win a $100 gift certificate to a local participating business of their choice. Shoppers can also take advantage of various businesses’ online stores, curbside delivery or pickup, shopping by appointment or over the phone, and other accommodations in light of public health guidance. For shoppers wanting to participate from home, simply upload electronic receipts or photos from 8 participating businesses on ChampaignCenter.com by December 20, 2020.
