The Champaign Center Partnership is pleased to invite the business community to attend a downtown development breakfast program and bus tour on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 7:30 a.m. at CityView in the Illinois Terminal, 45 E. University Avenue.
Several new developments are on the horizon in Champaign’s Downtown, Midtown and Campustown neighborhoods. This event provides an opportunity for the business community to hear updates from the City of Champaign Planning and Development Department about various projects including the Neil Street corridor improvement plan, future Neil Street plaza, south downtown (Illinois terminal expansion), Midtown crossings and more.
“Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District is pleased to partner with the Champaign Center Partnership in offering this special program,” stated Karl Gnadt, MTD Managing Director. “Participants will have a chance to not only hear about development projects that welcome visitors and foster new investment in our community but to see the sites firsthand from the vantage point of the SURFACE 51 bus.”
The program will begin with a light breakfast and announcements at CityView in the Illinois Terminal followed by a bus tour that will depart promptly at 8:00 a.m. This event is free for members of the Champaign Center Partnership and $10 for non-members. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. More information and event registration is available at: ChampaignCenter.com.
