The Champaign Center Partnership is pleased to invite small businesses to attend a round table discussion on Leveraging Events in Champaign Center on Monday, July 23 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at The Virginia Theatre, 203 W. Park Avenue in Downtown Champaign.
“Community events and festivals are in full swing this season,” stated Terri Reifsteck, Vice President of Marketing at Visit Champaign County, and moderator of the roundtable discussion. “We are thrilled to bring together this dynamic panel of local event organizers to share tips and strategies to help business owners and managers boost their business during these events that add to the uniqueness of our community.”
Event attendees will learn what opportunities are available for business promotion at local events and will brainstorm ideas on how to capture new leads and reach their target market at a variety of festivals and events. The event will be held in the theater’s historic mezzanine lobby.
Local organizers of seven major events that take place in Champaign’s Downtown, Midtown and Campustown districts will serve as panelists at the roundtable discussion, which is open to Champaign Center Partnership members and the general public. Events that will be represented at the discussion include: Boneyard Arts Festival, Champaign Farmers Market, Friday Night Live, Taste of Champaign Urbana, C-U Oktoberfest, Parade of Lights, C-U Pridefest and The Pygmalion Festival.
The discussion is free for members of the Champaign Center Partnership and open to the public. More information about the event is available at: ChampaignCenter.com.
