From promoting urban sustainability to making critical new discoveries for the treatment of cancer and other diseases, Purdue women researchers are striving to make the world a better place. Once again, in conjunction with Women’s History Month, 31 Purdue women researchers will be featured this month on the Office of the Executive Vice President for Research and Partnerships’ (EVPRP) social media accounts.
The account, Research at Purdue, can be found on Twitter, Facebook and Google Plus. A web-based feed will also be available at www.purdue.edu/research/
“We’ve received many recommendations from around campus, and we’re excited to be highlighting the faces of women who are making significant contributions to society through their research and scholarship,” says Angie Roberts, senior writer and graphic designer who oversees social media in Research Communications within the EVPRP office.
The posts — which will be noted with the hashtag #31Purdue Women — will appear each morning at 7 a.m. “We encourage our followers to share and retweet so that, together, we can promote the important work that women researchers at Purdue are doing,” Roberts says.
