[Champaign] Be a Good Neighbor!

Cold weather may be approaching, but that doesn’t mean that schoolchildren are going into hibernation. Kids walk to school all across Champaign, even in snowy conditions. Want to help children get to school safely? Shovel and de-ice your sidewalk! Keeping sidewalks passable means students and other residents can make it to their destinations without using the street or being uncomfortable and damp after trudging through deep snow.

The Champaign-Urbana Safe Routes to School Project has created Safe Walking Route Maps for every school in the community. If you live near a school, check out the map for your neighborhood to see if you live on a Safe Walking Route.

Thanks for being a good neighbor and keeping

Champaign safely walkable all winter long!
